Data Mining Twitter with the help of Local Transforms -case study, examples, etc

I recently spent some time playing around with Maltego and the Twitter Transforms.  I found some limitations, not with Maltego, but with the Twitter API's.

Hi I read the article and it seems pretty amazing, i found really helpfull maltego in my line fo work, but it is missing a lot of local transformations.

Hi Bazan,

When you say "it is missing a lot of local transformations" do you mean that these aren't bundled with Maltego? Or that you think there should be a bigger community of local transform repo's?

If (a) well then i think you should rediscover ( http://ctas.paterva.com/view/Userguide#Discovery_Process ) from your client to get the latest transforms which do include many new Twitter ones ( as well as a bunch of others we have included )

If (b) we definitely agree, do you have any idea's how we can stimulate this growth?

With Maltego 3 we are looking into different local transform bundling via packages/servers, but this will probably only be released with 3.1, however i would keep an eye on the Maltego3 blog ( http://maltego.blogspot.com ) for more information.
