The maltego video (http://ctas.paterva.com/Maltego_Videos/Episode%204/) goes over the use of some local transforms that easily poll common sql databases. The video says that these transforms are only distributed with the ''Maltego Application Server'' . I was wondering if these transforms will be available to normal client based versions of Maltego or if I should just write my own.

Thanks,
Daniel Clemens

Dan,

Those were used from the SQL server module - which is an add-on to the standard server. Currently there are no SQL transforms as local (client side) transforms.

I guess it is possible as it uses the same language but I can assure you that it might work out after all. Since you have the tools and education that is needed, you can always experiment different possibilities and outcome. But it couldn’t be said that it can be done too on the other hand. I have search all around, but I couldn’t come with something that could backed my claims. As the answers provided by others  are quite vague as well.
