Export

I''m running a pen test, and I''m trying to export a graph to build a list of DNS names/IPs. When I export entities in CSV format, I get all entities (name and IPs), but no relation between them. Is there a way to export the graph data (XML or other) so I can build a spreadsheet that includes the relationships?

Hi JG,
Unfortunately at this time there is no way to export the data with the relationships apart from viewing them in maltego, there are a few ways however that i can think of to get the effect you are looking for.
Firstly, select all the DNSNames (i like to use find - ctrl+f - and then change the type to DNSName and click find) then copy and paste these into your spreadsheet (any copied entities, when pasted into a word processor will past as the value of the entity).
Once you have the DNSNames you can then use ctrl + down arrow or Select children button, this will then select the IP Addresses of those DNSNames (presuming their only children are IP Addresses).
Now you can again copy and paste these into a document/spreadsheet.
A nice way to show the output of the footprinting stage is to print the graph to PDF with a pdfwriter (

) this will allow anyone to view your graph and the quality is much higher than that of the PNG images.
Hope this helps!
