"Timeout connecting to ServerSniff" error message?
«

Hi,
I''ve noticed I seem to be getting a "Timeout connecting to ServerSniff" error message in my transform output when playing around with Maltego.
Any idea what it means / if it''s of any relevance?
Cheers,
Steve.

Hi Steve,
Unfortunately serversniff is taking a bit of strain, as you can see from their site
"Our Server is currently suffering from a hardware-problem. Some functions my not work. We''re waiting to have this problem fixed. Please be patient and check back soon! "
This is unfortunately the issue.

Aha - a quick bit of googling and I find
http://serversniff.net/index.php
It''s not a site I''d come across before - for anyone else as clueless as me, it advertises itself as "ServerSniff.net - Your free "Swiss Army Knife" for networking, serverchecks and routing with many many little toys and tools for administrators, webmasters, developers, powerusers und security-aware users.". Kinda cool, although I''ve always tended to run the sort of searches it offers from my co-lo box, or work''s network.
Do you know which of the various tools they offer are actually used by Maltego? What am I missing whilst they''re down?
Let''s hope they manage to sort out their hardware problems soon...
Cheers,
Steve.
